5/6J have turned into crime scene detectives and had to uncover some secrets behind the strange sightings in our classroom after lunch on Monday. There were funny smells and unusual activities around the room. Students had to investigate what they could see, smell and then predict what substances were and any changes made. I was impressed with the use of technical language to describe the change in substances - from solids to liquids and the use of heat as an energy source to impact on the state of matter. Students were discussing density levels of salt, dilution rates and I am pretty sure that we may just have a scientist in the making. Way to go Scientific Superstars!
What a fantastic Easter Hat Parade, well done Miss Vautin for your organisation. All classes showed great Aussie 5 manners and they had some amazing hats on display. The easter bunny rocked in for a surprise performance and had some pretty eggsellent moves, maybe he has been taking some hip hop classes...Once again, there were many compliments about 5/6J's outstanding behaviour for the assembly and even Mr Cridland was impressed - he almost shed a tear. Keep up the great work 5/6J!
