Each day, the students have to complete two spelling activities: the first is a LSCWC - look, say, cover, write and check; and the second activity is one of their spelling contract activities. These activities cater for different learning styles and the many choices include: designing a spelling artwork, back-to-back spelling, definitions, syllables, researching etymology, alphabetical order, creating a jingle, and many more. Spelling art is proving popular with our creative minds - as you can see below.
Another great idea was the invention of a new spelling game called body spelling by Jack. Here you can see the class not only revising their spelling, but also learning some invaluable lessons in teamwork.
