On Thursday, Ms Twyford and I drove to Sydney to spend the day at Cabramatta Public School. My sister is one of the Deputy Principals and she was kind enough to show us around some classrooms and share some new and exciting ideas. In the afternoon, we were lucky enough to attend the "Teach like a pirate" workshop, hosted by Dave Burgess - inspirational San Diego teacher and best-selling author. Stay tuned for some interesting teaching experiences in our classrooms! Ahoy there me hearties ;)

Ahoy there 5/6J and Mrs John! Well 5/6J...how lucky are you having such a fantastic teacher? CONGRATULATIONS MRS JOHN on your award for student engagement! I'm sure your class will back me up when I say you deserve that award and make school a fun and exciting place to be and it was awesome seeing you recognised for your efforts today. Well done my fellow pirate and blog buddy!

Thank you Ms T, we are both very lucky teachers to have such wonderful students. They are the reason that we both love coming to school and trying our best to make school a wonderful place to be :)
